Auctioneers Accreditation Course

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and become a fully qualified property auctioneer ?

Becoming an Auctioneer is simple and easy with REET.

February 2020 "Auctioneer of the Day" Winner : Brian Fairweather Ray White French's Forest

We offer a one day "hands on" Auctioneers accreditation course which will give you the qualifications you need to not only list Auctions more confidently but control the crowd as the attending Auctioneer.

Are their any pre-requisites to attend ?

Yes and NO....

YES: To fully utilise the Auctioneers Accreditation, you should hold a full real estate agents license. We will issue you with a Statement of Attainment in the 2 compulsory modules:

CPPDSM4019A Prepare for auction and complete sale

CPPDSM4004A Conduct auction

When you successfully complete the course take this Statement of attainment and the completed application form to the Office of Fair Trading and they will update your existing license to show you are now able to conduct Auctions.

NO: You can still do the one day course if you hold a Certificate of registration BUT you will not be able to conduct the Auction. You will still be issued with a Statement of Attainment noting your successful completion which means that you will have picked up 2 credits if you should ever want to continue your studies and achieve the full agents license. However, you can use the course to pick up 12 CPD points. So, you can learn more about the Auction method of sale, see what it feels like to be an Auctioneer and satisfy your CPD recquirements all in the one day.

What if I have a very old Real estate Agents License?

Fine, As long as the license is still active you will still need to do these 2 compulsory modules.

I only have a Certificate of registration, can I still do the course?

Sure....but you will not be able to conduct the auction. You need to be a fully licensed agent to be able to hold the Auctioneers Accreditation.

How much does it cost to apply and keep my auctioneers Accreditation?

As at July 1st 2019, it costs $79 to apply at the OFT for accreditation.

The cost to renew your accreditation is included in your License renewal so keeping your License up to date keeps your Auctioneers accreditation up to date as well.

Does this one day course count toward my CPD points?

YES...the OFT will recognise the accreditation course as continuing education. We have designed the course to meet the Compulsory Learning area, Sales Practices which is conducted over 6 hours with assessment. This notation is made on your Certificate along with your entitlement to claim 12 points of Continuing Professional development. So, become an Auctioneer and pick up your 12 points of CPD at the same time.
